Choose your Self to Heal your Self

Most likely we all experienced this to a certain extent, living towards other’s expectations.

But does living towards other’s expectations or satisfying others makes You happy? No, it doesn’t.

It doesn’t make you happy, as you can’t live your True Self when you always try to satisfy others.

Actually it gives you inner stress and frustration, even though you might sometimes think it doesn’t. As you might not always be aware of it. It only comes to the surface now and then, when you try to think or analize why you feel this way.

The only way to Heal your Self is to choose for your Self, to choose for You, and what You want, and How you want things in your life.

Otherwise basically other people are controlling Your life. And you don’t have to allow that, you Should not allow that.

People Pleasing will never give You any satisfaction or the True Happiness you want in life. People Pleasing is exhausting! It exhausts your Soul as you give, and give and give. Your Soul gets drained, and then you start to feel it in your Physical as well.

If you recognise this, then start to choose for You. As you know perfectly well what is right for you, and what You want. You don’t need other people to tell you that.

Start to Heal your Self, choose for You and make You priority in Your life!

Valentine Self Love

Valentine’s Day is a day where we show our Love for our partner, husband, wife or even a family member or a good friend.

But what about your Self?

Self Love is one of the most important form of Love. As you can only truly share Love, in a genuine and Unconditional way, when you are able to Love your Self.

Self Love

You can’t share or give what you don’t have. So that works the same with Love. And you deserve to be loved by You!

Self Love comes together with acceptance. Acceptance for Who you truly are, how you look, how you do things, what you do and what doesn’t belong to you or suits you.

Self Love is not always easy as there is a lot of pressure from society, about how you should look, how you should do things, how successful you need to be, what you should have in material things….

It can be a hard way to walk away from all these expectations, but it’s not impossible. When you are able to truly accept You for being You, it’s actually very Healing. It gives a feeling of freedom as you don’t “have” to live anymore according other’s expectations, but just be You, your Natural You, your True Self.

So for Valentine’s Day, especially when you are single or don’t have a special loved one around you, do something for You.

Get yourself a bunch of Flowers or some Chocolate, go out for a nice meal or get something nice to eat at home, take a nice bath with some candles, go out and watch a movie or pick a nice one at home…..

Do something what you like, what you Love, what makes you feel good!

As Valentine’s Day is all about Love, extra attention for Love, so don’t forget your Self.

Can you still keep up with this Life and Society?

Embrace all that Nature and the Universe provides us with, me might have forgotten how to use it all, but it’s still there…….

In this time and age of fast speed living, having a lot of things already done for us, pre-made to make things quick and easy for us, we often forget that we can get so much more out of Life.

Basically Nature provides us with everything we need, but we are too disconnected from a lot where our ancestors were connected to. And all this speed and fast pace living doesn’t always give us the best benefits of it all.

Our ancestors used all that Nature provides and gave their blessings for using it, being Grateful and showing Respect. In general who these days is really Grateful for what is provided to us? And what do we use with Respect and give our Blessings back to it?

It’s a shame that we became so disconnected as it gave us a lot of things that are not so beneficial for us or our health. We deal on a daily basis with stress, anxiety, depression, loneliness, fear and mental health in total and always feeling the pressure of society to be successful and to achieve something in our life.

Why do we make it so hard on ourselves? As it’s not even that difficult to make a change that can make us more happy and healthy, we just need to start to take time for a bit more self reflection…..

Take a moment for yourself and ask yourself, “Am I truly satisfied with my life?”, “Do I feel truly happy within myself?”, “Do I feel inner peace?”, “Do I really love the job I’m doing?”, “Do I really look after myself?”, “Am I free of stress, anxiety and depression?”

Most people will have at least one question that will get the answer “no”. And then ask yourself “why?”. What is the reason why you don’t feel truly happy, or that you don’t really look after yourself that well, or that you struggle through life because of stress, anxiety and depression?

And basically, it’s not Society that makes us who we are and what we do….it’s Us, ourselves who decide to join this fast paced treadmill and living the life how we live it at the moment. We always have the choice to make better changes for ourselves, so why don’t we?

It’s shocking to hear and read about so many young kids, or young adults, who commit suicide because they are struggling so much with the pressure of life, society and the expectations that are out there. Pressure from Social Media as you need to show off how successful you are or how perfect you look…….. Do you already have that new hairstyle or clothes from that amazing brand? Do you spend hours on your make-up as you need to look like everyone else does? How many likes to do You get on your social media posts?

Again, it’s not Society, it’s all of us Creating this society.

If everyone, every single individual, would decide that this fast paced life, full of stress, pressure and expectations is no longer acceptable, because it’s causing us more harm than good, especially on our physical and mental health, Society would change. Our life would change, people would change and yes then it would become a definite better World.

Going back to “the basics” is not only releasing us from a lot of stress and anxiety and other physical and mental health problems, it will make us more compassionate again towards each other, as we will feel the need to help out each other more, it will make us appreciate more what is in our surroundings and what is Really important in Life.

See what life brings us as how it is at this very moment……..do you Really Feel that life brings us so much good? Look around you……people don’t communicate, don’t even look at each other as people are hypnotised by their mobile devices, and what are they spending their time on? Time is so precious…..why spending so much time on Social Media and devices while we can go out there, explore the world, being adventurous!

There are So many other things we can spend our time on, as time that is gone won’t come back……do you realise that sometimes? If tomorrow were your last day, can you look back on your life and honestly say you have done a lot of things with your life, important things, fun things, gained great experiences, met lovely people and shared time with them, helping and supporting others, seen the world around you?

Or have you filled most part of your life feeling under pressure, stressed, runned down, being in a job you don’t like and being on social media all day sharing selfies and the only communication you have with people and your “friends” is over text messages and liking peoples posts?

Social Media can be good if it’s used for the right things, but when we over-use it for things that are not important and create anxiety and depression to a lot of people, it might be time to think what we are really doing here and what we do to ourselves, our society and our children, who are growing up with this kind of stress and pressure.

Some might feel that “back to basics” is old fashion, or boring even, but is it?

If you feel resonated with things in this article, then maybe it IS time for a change, for yourself, but also to make a start in changing Society.

Explore the world, sniff in the smells of Nature, meet up with your friends for a coffee, meal or drinks and have an actual personal conversation, be true friends, support them if they need help. When was the last time you picked up the phone and asked a friend how he/she is doing, instead of asking it over text? Do you remember your friend’s birthday actually or is it only because Facebook reminds you of it?

Changing society is not gonna happen overnight, but if we all put our effort in it and start living life in a normal way, with each other and for each other, it will slowly take a positive turn. And I’m convinced that it will make more people happy and that there will be less physical and mental health issues.

We need to set a good example for each other, for our children, as we need to pave the right path for them, so they can live a life away from all the issues we are living with today and living a better life.

2018, a Year “11” which represents New Beginnings

“Do you feel the urge to Create an Amazing Year for yourself?”

Every year, after our New Year’s celebrations people come up with all kinds of Resolutions for the New Year. Some will succeed in doing so when they look back on it at the end of the Year. But a lot of people don’t succeed and for that matter already don’t make Resolutions as they feel they’re not gonna be able to do it anyway. So, even the trying is gone ;-)

Funny enough, even though this year is only a few days “old”, I’ve heard from so many people that they Feel this is gonna be a Great, Fantastic or Amazing year for them. Which I feel is awesome, as that means that people set out the intentions to actually Create a Wonderful year for themselves!

In Numerology the year 2018 is a Number 11 year. So if you like to pick a year for New Beginnings, then this might be the Right year for you! Number 11 is a Master Number in Numerology and carries the foundation for New Beginnings. As you might know, setting out intentions is a powerful way to start Creating and Manifesting. Keeping your Mind focussed on what you like to achieve this year, can very much so Result in what you want to achieve this year, or in the years to come.

Last year there was a Lot of focus on becoming Successful, Rich, Earn lots of money……the advertisements were in your face basically All the time. But slowly towards the end of the year it seems that the focus of people (and advertisement) goes more into the direction of Health, Mindfulness, Balance, Healthy Foods, Less Chemicals, Illness prevention, Organics. And I think that is great!

Personally, I feel as well that 2018 is gonna be an Amazing Year! At least, I work on to set the Intentions to Create one, even though the first days of this year I was already challenged in a certain personal way, but, it doesn’t distract me from my own Goals and Resolutions for this year.

My year will be in focus of more study, Herbalism, Holistic Therapies but also how I place my Self in the World, towards others, my Friends, Family, Acquaintances. I always Feel that I can improve my Self in certain ways and I Feel that as long as I keep working on my Self, it will get better and easier. If I compare my Self now with my Self a couple of years ago, then I can say that I feel proud of what I already have achieved and how much I have learned and improved my Self, for my Self but also towards others.

I like to keep working on my Positive Attitude and Mindset, to stay in my centre when I get challenged in a certain way. As something only “hits” us as much as how we Let it hit us. It’s not always easy, as often after a certain challenge you might ask your Self why you let yourself getting so upset, or getting it to you so much. But, at that point it’s another learning moment and you try to do it better next time. It’s all a process of learning, accepting, allowing and moving forward again.

I feel Life becomes exciting when you’re facing challenges, get opportunities, meet new people and recognise how you Change over time. You might recognise yourself that you can have a very different Perspective on something now comparing to a year or a couple of years ago. Isn’t that awesome?!

Before I start to rumble on and on about challenges and opportunities, I like to use this moment, now you are here with me, to ask your Self how You can make 2018 an Amazing year for you. What would you like to change, what Resolutions did you came up with so far or maybe you like to keep it all in the open ;-) Which is great as well! Just Go with the Flow!

At least I hope that you are Excited as I am, for this new year and having a good feeling about it as well! I hope this Number 11 year will bring you Great New Beginnings in every possible way! Imagine, Believe and Achieve!

Sunday Blues

“Sundays are not often anymore what they used to be, but You can still create that kind of a Sunday for yourself”


These days we live in times where we basically having a 24/7 society. Lots of people work on Sundays, shops are open and it basically seems like one of the ordinairy days of a week. Sunday is not “special” anymore for a lot of people.

I come from a time, and that seems like I’m feeling old but I’m not ;-), where Sundays were really Sundays. Nothing was open like shops or malls, the only place where you could get something when you forgot something was the petrol station, or even the little shop in a hospital, as places like that it never stops of course.

Sunday was for a lot of people, going to church, having a coffee after, going back home, preparing lunch, do a bit stuff in the garden, read a book……relax. These days, a lot of people don’t experience Sundays like this anymore, and it’s a bit of a shame, I feel, as the Only day in the week, where we should really take advantage of to Relax and Wind down should be the Sunday.

Of course, there are still enough people who Are able to have a “lazy” Sunday and do some stuff in the garden, read a book, listen to music, play a game etc. But still, Sundays are not the Real Sundays anymore.

But you Can create a Real Sunday for yourself if you want to, it’s simply Allowing yourself to have a Real Sunday, without feeling “guilty” as you might think you “need to do stuff”. Of course, if you have a job that requires you to work on a Sunday or you have  other obligations which you can’t avoid, then I recommend you have a Real Sunday at any other day during the week.

These days we have to Learn that it’s okay to have a day where we don’t Have to do things, when it is Okay to take time for yourself or for what you like to do and when it’s Okay to just Relax and Recharge your batteries so you’re ready for the new (work) week to start.

I speak to a lot of people and I realised that there are many people who don’t Allow themselves to have some down-time. As they Feel they Need to do “this and that” no matter if it’s Sunday or their only day off in the week. They feel “guilty” when they have not done certain things but been “lazy” instead.

Why do we “punish” ourselves this way? There is Nothing wrong with having a day to yourself, without feeling the Pressure that you Need to do “this or that”. We actually Create this for ourselves, so we are Also the ones who can Change this. Ask yourself, Why do you feel you need to keep doing and doing? Don’t you feel you Deserve some “me-time”?

Instead of Enjoying the Sunday for the fullest a lot of people start already thinking about the next day, Monday, to get back to work and all the things that need to be done, they start already to stress out while Monday is not even there yet! Why would you do that to yourself? Why start stressing out on a Sunday already for a day that still needs to be born?

Allow yourself a Sunday, relax, do whatever you feel up to. Want to stay in bed all day, do. Want to go out for a walk, do. Want to play a game or be creative, do. Whatever it is you like doing and what makes you relax, enjoy and wind down…..Do it. Allow yourself time pure for yourself, your family and loved ones, your hobbies etc.

Stop pushing yourself! Learn to Relax and Allow.
