Bring Yoga off the Mat!

I watched a documentary the other day and it was about Yoga and taking Yoga off the Mat. First it was a bit unclear to me how to do that and what it would exactly meant to do that. As Yoga is not just a practice or a physical exercise, it’s so much more and had such a deeper meaning than you might think.

For me, Yoga has been so far a practice to stabilise my Body and Mind in Peacefulness and Mindfulness, together with the Physical exercise aspect of it. It makes me feel good to do Yoga and it’s a great start of the day! I prefer doing Yoga in the morning, when I get up, before getting ready for my day. And Yoga is for Everyone! No matter what Age, Size, Shape, Ethnicity or Religion.

But, I learned now that Yoga does not just help you in that moment of doing the positions but that there is so much more to it! You can bring Yoga with you during your day in a way that you can reflect your Yoga into whatever you’re doing during the day or towards other people.

It’s like with Mindfulness, you bring your stabilised energies from your Body and Mind into your daily routine and keep that Feeling and Mindset during the rest of your day. I do feel it’s a process of Learning to do that, as we always can have “challenging” moments in our day when our Mindfulness or Inner Peace gets “tested”. Then, it will be the Art to try to keep Being in your Inner Peace space and Mindfulness and not let the challenges come to you or taking over your Inner Peace.

It definitely requires practice, as I noticed myself, but I Do feel when you Create the Intention to bring your Yoga Feeling, that you have established in your morning practice, into the rest of your day, it can change So much within your own Inner Peace, your Mood, your Reflection towards other people and your own Inner Happiness! And it definitely helps with fighting Stress, Anxiety and Depression!

I learned that Yoga is, indeed, so much more than the physical practice On the mat. And I’m so Happy and Grateful that I learned that about Yoga. I also learned that the Intention of wanting to practice Yoga should not be Just the intention to practice it for your Physical development only but Also for the Total development within your own Spirituality, Compassion, Self Love, Unconditional Love and Mindfulness.

I’ve seen this documentary on Gaia.com which is kind of the Netflix for Spirituality and Consciousness. Lots of videos, short films, documentaries, Series, but also practices for Yoga, Meditation and Pilates. I definitely can recommend this channel to you as there is so much knowledge shared about different subjects within Spirituality, Consciousness and Mindfulness.

Embrace all that Nature and the Universe provides us with, me might have forgotten how to use it all, but it’s still there…….

In this time and age of fast speed living, having a lot of things already done for us, pre-made to make things quick and easy for us, we often forget that we can get so much more out of Life.

Basically Nature provides us with everything we need, but we are too disconnected from a lot where our ancestors were connected to. And all this speed and fast pace living doesn’t always give us the best benefits of it all.

Our ancestors used all that Nature provides and gave their blessings for using it, being Grateful and showing Respect. In general who these days is really Grateful for what is provided to us? And what do we use with Respect and give our Blessings back to it?

It’s a shame that we became so disconnected as it gave us a lot of things that are not so beneficial for us or our health. We deal on a daily basis with stress, anxiety, depression, loneliness, fear and mental health in total and always feeling the pressure of society to be successful and to achieve something in our life.

Why do we make it so hard on ourselves? As it’s not even that difficult to make a change that can make us more happy and healthy, we just need to start to take time for a bit more self reflection…..

Take a moment for yourself and ask yourself, “Am I truly satisfied with my life?”, “Do I feel truly happy within myself?”, “Do I feel inner peace?”, “Do I really love the job I’m doing?”, “Do I really look after myself?”, “Am I free of stress, anxiety and depression?”

Most people will have at least one question that will get the answer “no”. And then ask yourself “why?”. What is the reason why you don’t feel truly happy, or that you don’t really look after yourself that well, or that you struggle through life because of stress, anxiety and depression?

And basically, it’s not Society that makes us who we are and what we do….it’s Us, ourselves who decide to join this fast paced treadmill and living the life how we live it at the moment. We always have the choice to make better changes for ourselves, so why don’t we?

It’s shocking to hear and read about so many young kids, or young adults, who commit suicide because they are struggling so much with the pressure of life, society and the expectations that are out there. Pressure from Social Media as you need to show off how successful you are or how perfect you look…….. Do you already have that new hairstyle or clothes from that amazing brand? Do you spend hours on your make-up as you need to look like everyone else does? How many likes to do You get on your social media posts?

Again, it’s not Society, it’s all of us Creating this society.

If everyone, every single individual, would decide that this fast paced life, full of stress, pressure and expectations is no longer acceptable, because it’s causing us more harm than good, especially on our physical and mental health, Society would change. Our life would change, people would change and yes then it would become a definite better World.

Going back to “the basics” is not only releasing us from a lot of stress and anxiety and other physical and mental health problems, it will make us more compassionate again towards each other, as we will feel the need to help out each other more, it will make us appreciate more what is in our surroundings and what is Really important in Life.

See what life brings us as how it is at this very moment……..do you Really Feel that life brings us so much good? Look around you……people don’t communicate, don’t even look at each other as people are hypnotised by their mobile devices, and what are they spending their time on? Time is so precious…..why spending so much time on Social Media and devices while we can go out there, explore the world, being adventurous!

There are So many other things we can spend our time on, as time that is gone won’t come back……do you realise that sometimes? If tomorrow were your last day, can you look back on your life and honestly say you have done a lot of things with your life, important things, fun things, gained great experiences, met lovely people and shared time with them, helping and supporting others, seen the world around you?

Or have you filled most part of your life feeling under pressure, stressed, runned down, being in a job you don’t like and being on social media all day sharing selfies and the only communication you have with people and your “friends” is over text messages and liking peoples posts?

Social Media can be good if it’s used for the right things, but when we over-use it for things that are not important and create anxiety and depression to a lot of people, it might be time to think what we are really doing here and what we do to ourselves, our society and our children, who are growing up with this kind of stress and pressure.

Some might feel that “back to basics” is old fashion, or boring even, but is it?

If you feel resonated with things in this article, then maybe it IS time for a change, for yourself, but also to make a start in changing Society.

Explore the world, sniff in the smells of Nature, meet up with your friends for a coffee, meal or drinks and have an actual personal conversation, be true friends, support them if they need help. When was the last time you picked up the phone and asked a friend how he/she is doing, instead of asking it over text? Do you remember your friend’s birthday actually or is it only because Facebook reminds you of it?

Changing society is not gonna happen overnight, but if we all put our effort in it and start living life in a normal way, with each other and for each other, it will slowly take a positive turn. And I’m convinced that it will make more people happy and that there will be less physical and mental health issues.

We need to set a good example for each other, for our children, as we need to pave the right path for them, so they can live a life away from all the issues we are living with today and living a better life.

Fall Asleep Meditations

You want to sleep peacefully, without a mind that is in overload of processing everything from the day, without strange dreams…..just peacefully

If you are familiar with Meditations you know that there are different ways to meditate. You can meditate on just purely relaxing music or sounds, you can meditate out in nature, you can do a guided meditation but you can also do a “fall asleep” meditation.

A “fall asleep” meditation is basically a guided meditation with a kind of hypnosis in it as well. Because of the hypnosis aspects in it, the meditation and the guided voice is still working for you in your subconscious, even though you are asleep and unconscious basically.

If I had a very busy day or watched a pretty intense movie for example, I can bet on it that I will dream a lot, but then a lot of weird stuff. I won’t say nightmares but still things that don’t make sense or are confusing or leaving me with a weird feeling when I wake up in the morning.

Almost every evening I either do a meditation just before going to bed, or I do a “fall asleep” meditation while in bed and just snooze off during the meditation. And it really helps with putting my mind at ease, no weird dreaming and waking up with a much better feeling.

I find the “fall asleep” meditations basically on YouTube and my favourite channel for these meditations is called “Unlock Your Life”. They have meditations with different subjects so I’m sure you can find one that suits you best as well.

I like to say, keep on dreaming but keep it at peace!

For me, studying Herbalism, I feel that Ayahuasca is one of the strongest Herbal Medicine, as it learns you what you need to know, you really connect with Mother Ayahuasca and it has healing properties like no other plant or herb. I can change your life in so many ways.

Ayahuasca is a Herbal Brew, made in the jungles of Peru by Native Shamans and it’s a Tea or what a Herbalist would call it, a Decoction, meaning a strong Tea. It’s always made from 2 plants; one of which contains the hallucinogen Dimethyltryptamine ( DMT ), which is a true psychedelic in the same class as LSD, Psilocybin and Mescaline. In the Amazon,

What’s interesting about Ayahuasca is you don’t have to have Faith, like you need to have in a Religion.It’s the perfect tool for skeptics. Don’t believe what anybody tells you, take it and have the experience.

Ayahuasca is not for everybody, it is a very powerful medicine. It has to be placed and used in a proper way. If they don’t know how to do that it can create a psychological shock that will leave a trauma. With Ayahuasca one has an opportunity to experience oneself as whole and complete. If you can actually get that you’re whole and complete, what is there to be filled from the outside anymore? There’s no longer a need for it.

Ayahuasca can help people see that in two or three ceremonies, if it’s the appropriate shamanic leader and if it’s the right environment.That is a potential to heal addictions.

Ayahuasca has 2 functions, Self Discovery and trying to Understand better Who you are. It also helps you to Connect with the Invisible World, the Spirit World.It could be related to Nature, the Meaning of God, having a clearer sense of what it means for You in your Life. It helps you redefine yourself in relationship to that.

Ayahuasca is used for many reasons, for example as a Teacher of the Healing powers of plants.Ayahuasca is in many ways the key to the door that allows you into Plant Teacher World. It allows you to access the other Plant Teachers in a more profound way. A Plant Teacher is you look at a Plant as a being, which has a personality as each human does. You take on the traits of a Plant. Plants are very sensitive and intuitive and in Healing you need to be very sensitive and intuitive.

When one drinks a lot, death approaches, the presence of the energy of death. But with Ayahuasca it is not a physical death. It is a symbolic death of fear…..especially of fear. The death of the Ego, the death of things from the Past. But there comes a moment when you can no longer resist and accept death. Then fear is broken and Peace, Tranquility and Love come in.Ayahuasca is going to meet you where you’re at in terms of what needs to happen and potentially to go very deep into your own fears, and challenges, and personal growth.

Ayahuasca gives you a tool to actually approach this phenomenon experimentally. Ayahuasca can be a valuable component of treating things as psychiatric conditions, depression, anxiety, addictions, things that modern Western medicine, hasn’t really done a good job of addressing.

Always, but always use Ayahuasca Only in presence of a genuine Shamanic Healer or in a special Ayahuasca Retreat.
