New Year, New Beginnings!

I wish for you to manifest all your Wishes and Dreams, much Health, Love, Abundance and Joy for 2019!

2018 was for me a year with a lot of challenges that I needed to overcome, lots of waves to ride, but I did it! I managed to create a calm sea for my Self again as I decided to Let Go of things and people that no longer had a place in my Life and on my Journey. I can look back on 2018 as a year of challenges, but also a year of teachings and lessons, and I am Very Grateful for that as it’s all part of growing and self development.

2019 will be an exciting year! From the end of January I will start with a 12 months training to become a Shamanic Healing Practitioner. Beside Reiki Healing and Herbalism I will also be able to provide this by the end of this year. I love the feeling to be able to combine Healing practices with Herbal Medicine and Remedies.

Shamanic Healing is very intensive but very effective. For example it contains Soul Retrieval, Shamanic Journeying, Plant Medicine, using Rituals and Tools, Soul Loss, Power Retrieval, Cutting Cords and Release, Shamanic Surgery, Energy Field rebuilding, Cleansing, Protection and much more.

I am very excited to start as Shamanic Healing is not something you just decide to do, it’s a Calling. For me it’s all about helping People, Nature, Mother Earth and Animals. All I can do to provide my piece of contribution to Healing Humanity and the World. For me personally it’s my Soul Mission, my Life Purpose.

I will try to keep up with blog posts so you can follow this year my Journey towards becoming a Shamanic Healing Practitioner. Once graduated I will of course start providing sessions for clients.

I hope that you also have something to look forward to, or that you maybe have planned something for your Self to enrich your Life, I would love to hear about it!

Create a Wonderful Year for your Self and your Love Ones, and get the most out of it!

With Love,

Healing Facts of Herbs

Still a lot of people wonder if Herbs and Spices are actually working. I can say from my personal experience, “yes they do work”. It’s been since ages ago that the healing properties of herbs are written in texts and documents, and Herbalists these days study and research this to get the best healing benefits from it and to be able to help people in the best tailored way.

Herbs strengthen digestion:

Most chronic disease starts with poor digestion. Many culinairy herbs have been used for thousands of years, not only for the good taste but also to help with digestion. More than often people have had poor digestion for so long that they assume it’s a natural part of life. Herbs and spices can help strengthen the digestion and often people experience that other complaints disappear.

The following symptoms are related with poor digestion: bloating, gas, indigestion, heartburn, constipation, nausea, poor appetite, recurring diarrhea and ulcers.

Digestion

Herbs are high in anti-oxidants:

Anti-oxidants are an important key to limiting the damage done to the body by oxidative stress, which has been linked to heart disease, liver problems, arthritis, premature skin ageing and eye damage. It occurs when the body is overloaded with free radicals. The formation of free radicals is a natural part of living but can be dramatically increased by stress, eating processed foods, consuming overheated oils, breathing air pollutants or cigarette smoke, being sleep deprived or eat charred meats. To minimise oxidative stress, it’s important to limit these negative influences and regularly include high anti-oxidant foods, such as Herbs and Spices in your meals.

Fresh local foods and herbs

Herbs support the nervous system:

We live in quite a stressed culture, people are always “busy” when you ask them how they are doing. Excessive stress is so common these days that it almost seems “normal” to start your day with little sleep and be rushed, overworked and overcommitted. Our bodies are more and more showing the effects of constant exposure to chronic stress.

Chronic stress has been linked to six leading causes of death: cancer, coronary heart disease, accidental injuries, respiratory disorders, cirrhosis of the liver and suicide.

Herbs will not let you run on no sleep, rushing from activity to activity on your busy schedule and to-do list, but herbs ans spices can help us modulate the negative effects of stress. They can help shift us from the fight-or-flight response of our sympathetic nervous system to the sleep at night and reduce levels of anxiety during the day. In combination with fresh local food they offer us high amounts of the vitamins and minerals needed to support our nervous system, and so our mental health as well.

Anxiety

Herbs are anti-microbial:

Some herbs and spices offer a powerful defence against pathogenic bacteria. As a bacteria have evolved, they’ve adapted to the pharmaceutical antibiotics we use. After decades of overuse of antibiotics, more and more bacteria no longer respond to treatment using antibiotics, people get antibiotic-resistant.

Plants have been changing and evolving with bacteria for millennia, they have a very complex system that may make it harder for pathogens to adapt to them.

Although it can be necessary to use pharmaceutical antibiotic for certain conditions, doing so can have a far-reaching negative effects, particularly on our gut flora, which is the beneficial bacteria in our digestive tract. Pharmaceutical antibiotics act by wiping out all bacteria, even the beneficial ones. Antibiotic after all means “anti-life”.

Spices can be strongly anti microbial without being “anti-life”, instead of “knocking out” everyting they come in contact with, plants can be chosen for the specific type of infection. Plants can also be very effective against viruses and fungal infections. Herbs can go beyond simply “killing” a pathogen and also support the ecosystem of the body, they can restore integrity to mucous membranes and support healthy gut flora.

Herbs and Spices

Herbs support the immune system:

Herbs can reinforce our health during times of infection by strengthening or modulating our body’s own immune system, which is our best defence against pathogens that leas to illness.

Immune system dysfunction can increase our risk of infection and is also implicated in cancer, autoimmune disorders and seasonal allergies.

Herbs and spices aid your health in myriad ways including strengthening your digestion, supporting your immune system and awakening your senses and bringin joy to your life.

To get the most benefits from herbs you’ll want to use them every day in good amounts, not just sprinkling a little bit of herbs and spices into your foods but rather using it as an opportunity to get an abundance of herbs into your life as a powerful way to bolster your health.

This is food as Medicine at its’ best!

Great immune system, great health!

Herbs for a Woman’s healthy monthly cycle

Nothing in Nature, or with a Woman’s body, works in isolation. All of our body systems must be able to work together harmoniously and in a uniquely balanced way in order to reproduce our kind.

Amenorrhea

This means the absence of menstruation for at least 3 months in a row. The most common cause is of course pregnancy, but often the glands and organs of the reproductive system will be out of balance, and Amenorrhea is the result of that.

There are Herbs out there that will help women menstruate, but these herbs should be avoided in high amounts and avoided altogether in pregnancy.

Three powerful Herbs that can help with Amenorrhea are:

Blue Cohosh

Ayahuasca – Natural Herbal Medicine

Ayahuasca is called Vine of the Soul

I watched a documentary the other day on Gaia.com about Ayahuasca. For me, studying Herbalism, I feel that Ayahuasca is one of the strongest Herbal Medicine, as it learns you what you need to know, you really connect with Mother Ayahuasca and it has healing properties like no other plant or herb. I can change your life in so many ways.

Ayahuasca is a Herbal Brew, made in the jungles of Peru by Native Shamans and it’s a Tea or what a Herbalist would call it, a Decoction, meaning a strong Tea. It’s always made from 2 plants; one of which contains the hallucinogen Dimethyltryptamine ( DMT ), which is a true psychedelic in the same class as LSD, Psilocybin and Mescaline. In the Amazon,

Ayahuasca is a legally recognised sacred medicine, to heal physical and psycho-spiritual ills. Beyond the Amazon, the legality of Ayahuasca is still a gray area. The Vine of the Soul teaches you everything you need to know. Can it really Heal our Minds and Spirits?

Westerners have lost their Cultural Roots, they have lost the knowledge of the use of Natural or Traditional Medicine. Ayahuasca makes you learn. Ayahuasca is a means for man to get to know the different Realms of Existence. The Source of all Creation makes us see where man comes from that he comes from space, where energy comes from in form of Light. We are all formed through a relationship of Nature, Energy and Light.

Before the Ayahuasca ceremony you set an intention. At the beginning, after taking in the Ayahuasca, the Energy can be a bit heavy, so you need to clear that. You can sing, chant a mantra and bring in Light. It pushes out the negative Energies and it Clears the space. It makes you purge, which prepares the Mind and Body for the Inner Journey ahead.

The Chanting then carries people into a Realm beyond the 5 senses. You create a relationship with the Chanting. You become the other, and the other becomes You.There is a link because you are in such a hight state of Consciousness, you become very aware of the other, and the other becomes very aware of your energy. It Manifests in your own visual state.

What’s interesting about Ayahuasca is you don’t have to have Faith, like you need to have in a Religion. It’s the perfect tool for skeptics. Don’t believe what anybody tells you, take it and have the experience.

Ayahuasca is not for everybody, it is a very powerful medicine. It has to be placed and used in a proper way. If they don’t know how to do that it can create a psychological shock that will leave a trauma. With Ayahuasca one has an opportunity to experience oneself as whole and complete. If you can actually get that you’re whole and complete, what is there to be filled from the outside anymore? There’s no longer a need for it.

Ayahuasca can help people see that in two or three ceremonies, if it’s the appropriate shamanic leader and if it’s the right environment. That is a potential to heal addictions.

Ayahuasca has 2 functions, Self Discovery and trying to Understand better Who you are. It also helps you to Connect with the Invisible World, the Spirit World. It could be related to Nature, the Meaning of God, having a clearer sense of what it means for You in your Life. It helps you redefine yourself in relationship to that.

Ayahuasca is used for many reasons, for example as a Teacher of the Healing powers of plants.Ayahuasca is in many ways the key to the door that allows you into Plant Teacher World. It allows you to access the other Plant Teachers in a more profound way. A Plant Teacher is you look at a Plant as a being, which has a personality as each human does. You take on the traits of a Plant. Plants are very sensitive and intuitive and in Healing you need to be very sensitive and intuitive.

When one drinks a lot, death approaches, the presence of the energy of death. But with Ayahuasca it is not a physical death. It is a symbolic death of fear…..especially of fear. The death of the Ego, the death of things from the Past. But there comes a moment when you can no longer resist and accept death. Then fear is broken and Peace, Tranquility and Love come in.Ayahuasca is going to meet you where you’re at in terms of what needs to happen and potentially to go very deep into your own fears, and challenges, and personal growth.

Ayahuasca gives you a tool to actually approach this phenomenon experimentally. Ayahuasca can be a valuable component of treating things as psychiatric conditions, depression, anxiety, addictions, things that modern Western medicine, hasn’t really done a good job of addressing.

Always, but always use Ayahuasca Only in presence of a genuine Shamanic Healer or in a special Ayahuasca Retreat.
